Rhino Mobility Privacy Policy

Foreword

RHINO MOBILITY, and its RHINO brand (collectively “COMPANY”) respects your privacy. RHINO MOBILITY provides this Privacy statement (the “statement“) to help you understand how we collect and use personal information when you use a RHINO MOBILITY device, a RHINO MOBILITY android application (“apps”) or RHINO MOBILITY’s website located at rhinomobility.com or socialmobile.com/rhino (the “websites”).

By accessing or using our devices, Rhino apps or the websites, you consent to the practices described in this statement.

In addition to this statement, for certain special offers, particular applications or certain services, activities or promotions, RHINO MOBILITY may present different or additional personal information practices and terms specific to those programs at the time the information is collected.

Collection of Personal Information

When you use a Rhino device, Rhino apps or visit the websites, RHINO MOBILITY may collect information when you choose to submit it, as well as automatically when you use the apps or websites.

Personal information you submit

Via the websites: RHINO MOBILITY collects personal information when you submit it on the websites (for example when you sign up for promotions, surveys, use our contact form, submit device information, etc.). The personal information collected may include your name, birth date, address, phone numbers, email address, account information (such as account and online registration), purchased mobile device identifying information (IMEI, serial number) and other specific personal information. In some cases, the personal information RHINO MOBILITY asks you to provide will be mandatory to participate in a particular activity, service or promotion. If you do not provide this personal information, your participation in that activity, service or promotion may be limited or prohibited.

Via an app: RHINO MOBILITY may collect identifiable information when submitted through a Rhino application. The personal information collected may include your name, address, phone numbers, email address, account information (such as account and online registration), mobile device identifying information (IMEI, serial number) and other specific personal information. In some cases, the personal information RHINO MOBILITY asks you to provide will be mandatory to participate in a particular activity, service or promotion. If you do not provide this personal information, your participation in that activity or service may be limited or prohibited.

Via a Rhino device: RHINO MOBILITY does not provide direct means for submitting personal information from the OS of a Rhino device, however, should an application be used on said Rhino device or should the websites be visited from a Rhino device, the above paragraphs apply. For troubleshooting, a bug report or logs may be generated on the device and optionally sent to RHINO MOBILITY, however the act of sending said files must be undertaken utilising a Rhino app or 3rd party app.

Automatically collected personal information

Via the websites: RHINO MOBILITY may collect certain types of personal information automatically when you use the websites. For example, when you use your web browser to access the websites, RHINO MOBILITY obtains certain types of personal information such as your IP address, browser type, email address, location information, access time and pages you visited before (if referred) and during your visit to the websites. RHINO MOBILITY stores and uses certain information from your browser using “cookies” and other mechanisms.

A “cookie” is a small data file that the websites transfer to your computer for storage to allow RHINO MOBILITY’s servers to retain specific personal information. RHINO MOBILITY may use “cookies” and other tracking mechanisms to help support the integrity of the apps and registration processes on the websites, to retain changes that you made and to track marketing efforts. RHINO MOBILITY may also allow third party service providers to collect information to help RHINO MOBILITY track aggregate and individual use of the apps and websites. You may be able to disable some cookies by modifying your browser preferences. If you disable cookies, you can still use the apps and websites, but certain websites features and functionality may no longer work properly, or at all.

Via an app: RHINO MOBILITY offers enterprise applications related to Enterprise Mobility Management, device troubleshooting and diagnostics. If these applications are leveraged by the organisation, RHINO MOBILITY may collect certain types of personal information automatically when you use Rhino apps, including identity of other apps you may have loaded on your device, IMEI number, serial number, Android device ID (UDID) OS version, security update version, accounts in use, device architecture, available and total memory, available and total storage, battery usage currently and historically, network information including WiFi networks connected to currently and historically, enforced corporate (Enterprise Mobility Management) policies, Android Enterprise deployment scenario, screen usage, call and SMS metrics (NO details of calls or SMS messages, just how many minutes/hours spent making/receiving calls and how many SMS messages sent/received), time spent in applications and application type (“Internet browser”, “Social Media”), usage of device radios (LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS), location history, bug reports and device logs, and other device metrics on behalf of the organisation utilising RHINO MOBILITY or MAMBO MOBILITY solutions.

If enterprise applications are not leveraged, data collection should be limited to information collected via a Rhino device below, with the addition of app usage stats (time used, app crashes, frequency of use).

Via a Rhino device: RHINO MOBILITY collects information related to a Rhino device for troubleshooting and improvement. This information is mostly anonymous but may include device IMEI, device serial number, OS version, OS security update version, date of last performed update, activation date and geographic location of activation and crash logs if an organisation opts to provide these automatically via policy.

Use of Personal Information

RHINO MOBILITY uses the personal information it collects to operate and improve its apps, websites, business, products and services. Our goal is to provide you with better products and more effective customer service, make our apps, websites and services easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information and detect fraud and abuse. Also, RHINO MOBILITY may use your personal information to communicate with you. We may send service communications such as welcome emails, information on technical service issues, and security announcements. RHINO MOBILITY may also occasionally send you product surveys or promotional mailings to inform you about other products or services available from RHINO MOBILITY, and to fulfil promotions. Personal information collected through the apps and websites may be stored and processed in the United States, and may also be accessed from the United Kingdom for support purposes. If you reside outside of the United States, by using the apps or websites, you consent to the transfer of information outside of the country where you reside.

Sharing Personal Information

Except as described in this statement, RHINO MOBILITY’s practice is to not disclose personal information about you outside of RHINO MOBILITY and its affiliates without your consent, which may be expressed or implied, and given in writing, by using or not using a check box, electronically, orally, or by your conduct, such as use of services or products. RHINO MOBILITY does not sell, rent or lease its user lists to third parties.

However, RHINO MOBILITY may disclose personal information to its third party service providers (which are obligated to maintain confidentiality and security of the personal information and are restricted from using such information other than as authorized by RHINO MOBILITY or as otherwise permitted by law) so they may complete transactions or perform services on RHINO MOBILITY’s behalf, transactions on your behalf, or transactions related to providing services to you. For example, RHINO MOBILITY may contract with third parties to provide search services, host the websites, collect and provide product reviews, provide promotions or surveys, send RHINO MOBILITY’s emails, fulfil promotions, etc. However, RHINO MOBILITY will restrict those third parties to using the information in connection with the services they provide. For each third party, we have contracts in place to ensure the information remains secure and limited in use and that their data processing complies with the EU regulation 2016/679 (GDPR standard). RHINO MOBILITY may also disclose personal information to comply with the law and lawful requests or legal process, protect the rights or property of RHINO MOBILITY and its customers, and when RHINO MOBILITY believes in good faith that the disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of RHINO MOBILITY, its employees and customers, or the public.

Children Under Age 13

RHINO MOBILITY does not knowingly collect, and does not want to collect, personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, do not provide RHINO MOBILITY any information about yourself, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address (directly, or via websites bulletin boards, blogs, etc.). If RHINO MOBILITY discovers personal information from children under age 13, we will delete that information immediately and may cease services related to that discovery across apps and devices.

Email Preferences

You may opt-out of receiving future marketing emails from RHINO MOBILITY by following the instructions provided in the emails received. If you opt-out of receiving future marketing emails, RHINO MOBILITY may still send you service communications such as (but not limited to) support and security updates and product recall information.

Access and Updates to Personal Information You Submit

You may be able to update your personal information through the websites by updating registration information you provide in connection with the websites. You will be required to sign in with your username and password. RHINO MOBILITY does not maintain all personal information it collects in a form that can be accessed or updated by you. RHINO MOBILITY may keep records of changes to your personal information (including deletions).

Security of Personal Information

RHINO MOBILITY is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. RHINO MOBILITY and vendors we may select to provide hosting services for the websites or apps use a variety of security technologies and administrative procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure with security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Internal access to users’ private and non-public personal information is restricted to websites administrators and others on a need-to-know basis.

Other Applicable Terms

This statement only governs the collection and use of personal information collected through the apps, websites and Rhino devices. This statement does not modify or alter other agreements you may have, or enter into later, with RHINO MOBILITY. For example, RHINO MOBILITY’s Terms of Use only govern your use of the apps and websites. You may provide personal information to RHINO MOBILITY through other means, such as when you call customer service or send personal information related to promotions or product registrations via postal mail. In such instances, this statement does not apply to your submission of personal information to RHINO MOBILITY via postal mail.

Changes to this statement

RHINO MOBILITY reserves the right to periodically update this statement to reflect changes in its practices or applicable laws or regulations. If the updated version of the statement contains material changes to how RHINO MOBILITY collects, uses, or shares your personal information, RHINO MOBILITY will post a prominent notice of the updated version on the websites, related apps or send you an email. Your continued use of the websites constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated statement.

Opting Out

If you no longer wish to receive communications from RHINO MOBILITY, please email RHINO MOBILITY’S CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL ADDRESS. Please keep in mind, refusing to provide personal information or denying or withdrawing consent to use personal information as identified in this privacy statement may make you unable to participate in certain RHINO MOBILITY programs or software updates.
